I have a 2009 Composite Acoustics OXE RAW with LR BAGGS Stage Pro electronics and a Breedlove HARD SHELL CASE (had it shipped to me in this case to ensure it traveled safely). I bought this from Michael at MacNichol Guitars. I'm the original owner. I've used it for some recordings and has been to all of two small, coffeehouse gigs. The rest of it's life has been as a case pup and home studio player.
In my opinion, this guitar SHINES in open and dropped tunings. I'm not sure exactly WHY but it does. It's spent most of it's time in OPEN D or OPEN C, but I've also used it in standard and dropped/lowered standard as well.
I own a CA Performer GX and initially bought this guitar as a small-body compliment to the larger Performer GX. What I found (as perhaps many of you carbon, CA and CA OX lovers have) is that the OX is a mighty full-bodied guitar for its size. I was surprised by that when I first got it. Given it's tone is similar to my Performer, I see it as an expendable guitar for me.
The OX-E is an incredibly playable, resonant and wonderful sounding guitar. It's balanced across all six strings, is intonated well and asthetically is pretty stunning.
I'm asking $1000 and selling it to fund a scooter that I've got my eye on. Someone is going to get one hell of a guitar (with a nice Breedlove HSC). The case is slightly large for the guitar but with an added pad it fits very nicely.
I've used some stock photos as I don't have any of mine at present.
Please contact me at Rspreitzer@bellsouth.net. I have 100% feedback on Ebay (ask for references). I've purchased a couple of guitars from Michael at MacNichol. I believe he would vouch for me as an honest person as well. I prefer USPS MONEY ORDER but can do PAYPAL if needed.
