Welp, after nine months of rebuilding my set with the new guitars and auditioning a new recording system, I'm ready to record a new demo CD for my manager (She's been hounding me mercilessly for one since she heard me play the Riders at a gig in Vegas. lol). This is the very first track and the very first take, so it's not perfect, but I thought you might enjoy hearing it.
The signal path is:
BB Rider Nylon > Lexicon MPX-G2 > Lexicon I-ONIX FW810s > MacBook Pro > GarageBand. Yes, GarageBand. Since I want to record my live shows, and since all the effects I use are in the MPX-G2 (Dedicated DSP chips and A/D converters are just better than any on-computer effects algorithms), I just need a single stereo track and bonehead-simple software.
So, this is exactly what I sound like live.

I think the right side is too hot, so I need to get the balance sorted out, but I'm very happy with this as a first test.
Next I'll do Eric Johnson's Desert Song, which is a more ambitious piece.
Ciao,
George
George;
Quite beautiful! I look forward to Desert Song.
