I prefer the Tagliarino books mentioned above to the Fretboard Logic books. More professionally written and printed, more useful exercises, better writing style. CAGED is definitely a great way to learn the guitar. For what it is worth, "Guitar Fretboard Logic" is #2 in Amazon guitar books, right after Hal Leonard's method books.
