Hello,

We're sending an Emerald X7 on a Road Trip. This is one of the custom forum edition models. Total cost is $25 and includes shipping to and from your house, as well as a new set of strings to place on the guitar once it arrives. You will have the guitar for one week.

Please visit the below link and read the terms and pay the fee. If you have not participated in a Road Trip before, you must use a PayPal
verified address.

Emerald X7 Road Trip Registration

After you sign up, we will put together a schedule and send to you via e-mail with an approximate arrival date. You then receive the guitar, keep it for one week, and then we send you a FedEx label via e-mail, which you print out, and then deliver the package to FedEx.

Thank You.

Perhaps the fact that it's still "up" means that it's still available...but I have travel restrictions on a delivery-date, so I would like to have a brief interchange with whomever is doing the scheduling...then I will gladly deal with the $25 via PayPal, etc...

Just send an email to Michael at MacNichol. He coordinates the trips and if he knows the dates does everthing he can to accommodate your schedule. The roadtrips are a great way to spend some extended time with a guitar, play it in different settings, do some A/B comparisons with other guitars, etc.  If you have never participated it could not be easier than the way Michael has them set up. When I sign up for one I generally try to make sure other forum members  in my area, such as Tony B get a chance to play it. It helps to get a bunch of different views on new guitars.

Larry.

Michael just announced the roadtrip very recently so no need to wait for his confirmation, I think you just need to go to the MacNichol's website and register.

Hello,

Yes, it's still available. We haven't even received the Road Trip model from Emerald yet.

Larry - I'll send more information to you via e-mail to coordinate with your travel dates.

Thank You,

Michael

Has anyone compared an X7's projection to a Martin LXM or Baby Taylor?  Is it a more competitive (louder to a listener) instrument in a jam session?

Thanks for the pics! it looks really nice! what i see is that the gig bag is different from Kramster... it is no longer 'tenis anyone' ;) but i think it seems even more compact and with more pockets (what is really useful for somebody like me! XD )

Yeah, different from my gig bag.  Mine says Emerald on the outside and has flanking neck cusions on the inside.  But I wish mine had more small pockets like this one.
