Hello,
I was just sent hear from AGF. I hope someone can help. I live in Hungary, where I probably have the only carbon fiber guitar. Though I know a good tech, he is no experience with cf guitar.
I have a CA Legacy with a loose brace in the lower bout. What can I glue it with?
Thanks in advance for any help.

You will want to use a high peel strength adhesive that is appropriate for gluing composites (aerospace grade epoxy, or a methacrylate). A great and widely available methacrylate is Plexus 310. You need a gun, and nozzle so its not cheap but your luthier will be excited to learn of it I think. Egan? I make the Blackbird Carbon fiber guitars so I have done a great deal of experimenting with adhesives and this is a good one. Good luck!
Joe,
You know a little Hungarian? My Hungarian is quite good, but I was wondering how I would ask for an epoxy with high peel strength. There are certain things they never teach in language schools.
I am relatively new and ignorant when it comes to carbon guitars. Your blackbirds look nice. Next time when I'm home I'll have to test drive one.

There is that French company, posted earlier, who have made some prototype CF guitars - I know, France isn't exactly close to Hungary but at least they are in similar timezones. It might be worth a call, who knows?
Matthew:
You proably are the only one in your area with a carbon fiber guitar. But this forum does have a number of people from different countries, all with carbon fiber guitars.
If you plug in REPAIR in the search engine for this forum, you will find all sorts of advice regarding all sorts of problems. Several of the threads deal with glues for carbon fiber. You might also try an email to MacNichol guitar (a contact address is listed on the cover page of his forum site. Good luck, glad to see you on the forum.
