Hello.
I just learned about Erik Mongrain, who plays a Rainsong Jumbo. Here's a video.
Love It!
I wonder if he's playing a stock RainSong JM1000 with an L.R. Baggs Element UST with barndoor preamp? This video appears to be from mid-2006, and if the guitar was fairly new then, it would most likely have been equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element as the Fishman Prefix Plus T was added to the RainSong Classic line about mid-2009. I've noticed that carbon guitars pickup body taps better than wooden guitars do when both are equipped with a UST. Anyone else notice it too?
Regards,
RainDance
glad to know i brought my favorite guitarist to Michaels attention ;].............."Music is not how advanced you can play or if your abilitys....with little or no experience.....are not to full potential. Music doesnt necessarly come from plucked, pulled, or hammered strings, neither blown out of a horn or drummed....MUSIC is the translation of your true inner emotions....it just depends which instrument you wish to communicate them through....in so connecting with a world where there's only piece of mind and comfort." -DC
there is a lot of info about his guitars in his website. in few words it is a JM1000 with the wider neck of a JM3000 but only with 6 strings. the electronics are fishman prefix mix plus (discontinued) and a sunrise. he is a true musician!
i posted here quite a lot of times about him. he really make us proud to share our carbon love!!! amazing player
