Due to some neurological issues in my right arm, I have very specific size and shape requirements for guitars, and the CA OX just doesn't work for me. It sounds great, but has rarely been played. However, I did try attaching an arm rest on the side (not the top like a Pearse rest), at the bass side of the lower bout. I touched up the wax after removing it, using the recommended black Turtlewax. Other than that, and changing strings, the guitar is essentially as-received. This one was made before CA started applying some sort of coating over the raw finish, so there's only wax over sanded gelcoat. As with many/all of the early, true raw guitars, there are a few "character marks" where the carbon weave is visible through the gelcoat, but on this guitar it's fairly subtle. There are a few small manufacturing imperfections in the die-cut rosette (again, like many of them). There's also a small section of the top-to side joint near the upper-bout strap button that has a slightly rough glue line. I think one or two more passes with the sander would have taken care of it.
I stashed the original gigbag in the closet and used a thicker one from Guitar Center. The original gigbag is included, and it is in like-new condition.

As far as I know, MacNichol didn't do any setup work on this guitar before shipping, and I haven't changed anything. If I recall correctly, I told Michael that I didn't want it super-low, and the factory setup is actually about right for me, so there was no reason to change anything.
The action at the 12th fret is 7/64" with Elixer PB Nano lights. I measured the neck relief by holding the 6th (low E) string at 1&14, and using feeler gauges between the string and fret. .008" was too big and .006" might have been slightly too small, so I'll call it 0.006~0.007" relief. On the 1st (high E) string, I measured 5/64" between the string and the top of the bridge, and you have to shave the saddle down by double the change you want at the 12th fret. So, it should be possible to get the action down as low as 5/64" by trimming the saddle, though personally I wouldn't go any lower than 6/64".

I think my stream of consciousness has a few oxbows.
