Acoustic concert by Martin Blanes. Donation of $10 per person with all funds going to the performer. Location is Rivers Restaurant, which is fifty yards southeast of MacNichol Guitars.

8 to 9 pm - Martin Blanes - Fingerstyle guitarist from Spain.
9 to 10 pm - Mix/Mingle Hour.

Understand this is moving to the Rivers restaurant?!! It'll be nice to have all that space as I'm sure he'll draw a large crowd!!

Really enjoyed the concert - Martin was very entertaining, down to earth - except for those "rock star" sunglasses ;) - and loved the thread about naming songs! So, not to upset the CF fans, and leaving the electronics issue on the Blackbird aside, I must say that to my ears the sound coming out of the Stearn guitar was much better than the Emerald -- guess I just prefer that wood tone. Also of note is that the Stearn had the new LR Baggs M80 pickup -- this really increased the out put in volume and tone of the percussive portions of Martin's style.
