Hello,

The new RainSong model is the RainSong Bluegrass (BG). This guitar is a dreadnought body with the neck meeting at the twelfth fret and the bridge located further away from the soundhole. The top, back, and sides are unidirectional carbon fiber. Gotoh tuning machines with distinct buttons. Comes from the factory with light-medium gauge strings. The RainSong BG comes with a blank fretboard with two white line rosette. Here are pictures. Videos coming soon.

Beside being beautiful and easy to play, it's my favorite RainSong sound yet. :)

What a clean looking instrument. The white nut and saddle are nice contrasts. Looks and sounds like a winner.

It looks like it will be a nice addition to the RainSong line. I like its simple looks, in that regard it reminds me of some of the Martins I have seen.

The BG model will be available in high gloss (RainSong BG) or Fine Texture (RainSong BGFT) with the only difference between the models the finish. Both have electronics. The introductory pricing is $1,999 for the BG and $1,799 for the BGFT. The final pricing will be set on January 1, 2013.

Here's another video, this time with the BG as the rhythm guitar and the H-DR1100N2 as the lead guitar.

Not being up on all the variations, is this basically the shorty without a cutaway? Does it have a deeper body?

The Shorty's body is much more "OM-like". This is a classic dreadnought body (deeper and less pinched waist) with a twelve fret neck that uses the N2 size (thicker).
