For NAMM 2009, Flamenco player David Maldonado plays the Blackbird Rider Nylon. The recording is off the amplifier through RMC pick-ups without a pre-amp.

Blackbird Rider carbon fiber Nylon-string travel guitar; Uli Dumschat plays Flamenco
Submitted by Ryan on March 10, 2010 - 3:30pmOur Friend Uli from Germany stopped by the shop and played this wonderful piece. The carbon fiber Rider nylon string has a very strong, percussive voice that is particularly well suited for Flamenco. At 3 lbs, you get all the resonance Flamenco players are accustomed to without ever worrying about durability. Uli really liked the off-set sound hole for monitoring.

Uli Dumschat tapping the Nylon

The hypnotic piece has a clearly eclectic compositional sound with one foot in fingerstyle and the other in electronica all with a real groove to it. The piece benefits from the carbon fiber Rider nylon strings' exceptional evenness across the fretboard which yields a transparent amplified voice.
