Blackbird Guitars Steel String Rider with electronics provides a 24.5 inch scale and delivers full sound through Blackbird's Asymmetric Acoustic Design with off-set sound-hole combined with a hollow neck with head mounted Stereo Sound Port, yet is small enough to fit in into many airlines overhead bins.
Features Include:
• Gotoh tuners
• Micarta fretboard and bridge
• Graphtech saddle and nut (1 3/4")
• High-Modulus carbon fiber top
• Ballistic nylon gig bag
Jeremy, Blackbird guitar's jolly guitar assembler/luthier/web-lackey, inches his way through a well known Bluegrass tune on the Blackbird Rider. It's lightweight, has a one piece Carbon Fiber body, and can even fit in an overhead compartment on an airplane, yet can hold its own next to the most powerful of dreadnought guitars.
Mark Hamre, a wonderful guitar player, inventor of the Neck up guitar support, and now good friend, stopped in for a visit on the way down to Santa Barbara. His hard-driving blues really brings out the low-end and volume of the Blackbird Rider. Check out more of his music at Neckup.com. More on Blackbird at www.blackbirdguitar.com

Thanks to DP for posting this... I'm creating a separate thread for all the rider fans...
Here's a short clip of a Rider with D'Addario EXP19 - bluegrass gauge - strings and with three different mic positions. The action at the first fret, treble e, is at .005", but doesn't buzz and still has great tone. Comments welcome. Thank you.
