Hello Michael Stone -
What a wonderful guitar.
What a sound and what a range of new ways of playing a guitar.
I am more than satisfied….
A real treasure.
If you’d like to visit us from out of town, we have an arrangement with The Crystal Inn, which is located in a nice section of Salt Lake City, and a short drive to MacNichol Guitars.
The Crystal Inn’s MacNichol Guitars rate is $84.99 (plus tax) per night for a room with one king or two queen beds. Rate valid any time of the year. This includes complementary airport shuttle, complementary shuttle to/from MacNichol Guitars, free light breakfast, and free light dinner. The Crystal Inn is located in one of the nicer areas of Salt Lake, and about a 5-10 minute drive to MacNichol. Please see the below link.
-If you’d like to ski while you visit MacNichol, you can take advantage of the Super Pass ski pass, which is available for $57 per day. Pass is good at one of four ski resorts located about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. The Super Pass also includes bus transportation. Please see the below link.
MacNichol Guitars and Mandolins announces the opening of www.eBaritone.com, a website forum devoted to the discussion of acoustic and electric baritone guitars. Topics include makes/models of instruments, care and maintenance, playing styles, and any other relevant topics. The site will also include an “Electronic Gear - Recording and Live” section on carbon fiber guitars, along with a Buy/Sell/Trade section for those seeking used baritone guitars.
The first ten people to register for the site will receive a free set of D’Addario EXP Baritone guitar strings or a set of D’Addario heavy gauge strings. After registration, please send a PM directly to MacNichol_Guitars with your choice of baritone or heavy gauge and your mailing address.
Here are some comments from a customer who recently purchased a CA Guitars Baritone.
It’s here. And wow, is it a nice guitar. Remember when I mentioned not needing 30 days, just 30 minutes? Let’s make that about 3 seconds. First strum, an E chord - excuse me, a “B” chord - with the open bottom end - and the back of that thing just thrummed against my stomach. I thought the Tacoma had resonance - this is ridiculous. Reminds me - don’t laugh - of the same sensation you get with a well made didgeridoo - they’ll just vibrate in your hands, your chest, your head - something like that.
