Description
Looking for a fully compensated bone guitar saddle? Our unbleached bone saddle with 12 inch radius will fit many guitars with an undersaddle pickup and 12 inch radius fretboard. Saddle height set one mm lower than our standard Fully Compensated saddle height to account for the undersaddle pickup thickness. This reduces the amount of adjustment time required.
Please contact us with your specific guitar brand, model and year for which saddle size would work best.
For acoustic guitars that require a 16 inch radius saddle, please visit the following link: Fully Compensated Bone Guitar Saddle with 16 Inch Radius
Commonly referred to as ‘step compensated,’ a fully compensated guitar saddle is similar to a B compensated saddle. However, a B compensated saddle only has one compensation slot, whereas a fully compensated saddle has five string slots – one for the treble E, one for the B, one for both the G and D, one for the bass A, and one for the bass E string.
Please note that each guitar is slightly different and your fully compensated bone guitar saddle may need adjustments to the height, length, or thickness to match your factory saddle. We include a small piece of sandpaper that you can use for adjustments.
Please contact us with any questions about fitting your guitar saddle, action height, intonation, or any other factor. If you are not entirely satisfied, please let us know and we’ll either provide a replacement saddle or a refund.

Mike –
This piece is actually not perfectly fit for my Gretsch guitar. For some reason my Gretsch guitar that has 12” radius fretboard but the original saddle is a 10” radius saddle. I sent information to MacNichol and they help me customized a 12” saddle that works much better for my guitar than the original one. No more buzzing. The true bone saddle from MacNichol is beautiful and will last longer than those TUSQ or synthetic bone (plastic) saddles. Also from what I’ve learned from my guitar, it seems this true bone material is making the sound clearer and in turns allowing the pickup to pickup better quality sound. I ma not an expert. This is just from what Ive experienced with this product. Along with great products, the customer service at MacNichol is top notch. They went above and beyond to help me with customizing the part I need with no charge. I really am glad I found this store.
Thanks MacNichol
