How To Remove A Tight Fitting Guitar Saddle

Option 1

Using painter’s tape, tape the area around the saddle to protect the bridge from the pliers. Also, place cloths on your guitar’s top. Grasp the saddle in the center with pliers and lift straight up. You may need to wiggle the saddle a bit to get loose.

Option 2

This method should only be used  if you are unable to remove with pliers since this can damage your original saddle. please be sure to tape bridge area around saddle, and place  cloths on your guitar’s top. Use a slotted (flat head) screwdriver and place against the end of the saddle as shown.

Next, gently lift the saddle’s bass side upward from the slot using the opposite end as a leverage point.
